Beauty is exotic, foreign, and distinctive but never a reproduction. True beauty cannot be recycled through the media. It cannot be captured in a magazine cover. It is found in the hook of a nose on a levelled plane, the twist of the eyes on a porcelain China doll and especially in the width of an endless smile.
Beauty is not encapsulated in a portrait like the Mona Lisa. It is an expression not an interpretation. Don’t let others cage your perception of beauty. The concept of beauty is a social construct based on the physical, but the expression of beauty itself transcends that.
Beauty is beautiful like a rare and precious stone. History has shown us that beautiful things attract self-interested parties and when this factor comes into play beauty is destroyed. Don’t let parties such as shave your head friends, others and the media with ill self-centered intentions imprison your distinctive entity. They want to control, regulate and tame beauty. They want to conquer. By embracing our differences, we take away THEIR power for something so true like beauty can never be tamed by an impure captor. It can only be cultivated by its creator, you.
Tyra Banks is an amazing role model for women all over the world. She took her struggles in modelling and transformed them into opportunities. Her beauty is defined by her endurance. She uses her experience to write the wrongs of others by shedding light on important issues. Tyra is an inspiration to women all over the world. We should all aspire to be like her: fierce, confident and benevolent.

ReplyDeleteI used to HATE my skin colour...I was always the dark girl in a room full of pearls. I used to think it wasn't fair...i started bleaching my face every other week.
ReplyDeleteThen Tyra helped me realize that what makes me different thant he crowd is what makes me beautiful. Your post is inspiring and it is very true...beauty does not come from a carbon copy it comes from a rare and exotic source.
Every one has this source ..its within them...its what makes the an indivudal.
One thing i love about myself are my legs! i love them they look like dancer legs and i dont even dance! Thanks God! :)

ReplyDeleteThis blog is beautiful .I believe beauty is from the inside and how you see yourself . You can't expect no one to love you if you don't love yourself . And I know I'm not perfect , but I do see myself as a beautiful young woman . I wish a lot of other teens sees that as well .

ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing blog Sarah. It's really good for girls to realize that they are beautiful in their own way. No need to live up to the ridic. commercials on TV with them stick skinny models with perfect hair and perfect teeth. You don't even know how much time it takes to make them that way. And what? They dont always look that way. Only for that time period the commercial or show is shot for !
